Data protection notice
A short summary of what happens to your data when you walk an Explorentia route. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
What is collected during a route
Scanning a code creates a random identifier in your browser and records which points you reached, your ratings and comments, and the offers you unlocked. This is what lets the route remember where you are and what you have earned. We do not ask for your name.
The visitor form
Before the route starts you are asked for your country, age range, gender and language; the answers are required to take part. They are stored with your visit's random identifier and used to understand who visits Cypriot villages, and our reports show them as totals and percentages. At the end of the route you may leave your e-mail address to hear about new routes and offers — that is optional.
Who sees it
Communities, local businesses and public authorities have no access to the platform. A business sees only the offer you show it at the counter.
Your rights
You can delete your data yourself: during a route, open the language menu and choose "Your data". You can also ask for a copy of your data, its correction or its deletion, and withdraw consent at any time, by writing to info@explorentia.eu with the visit code shown there. You may also complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection of Cyprus.
